Tsukishima was a person that held a certain dislike for many things- stupid people, hot-blooded people, crowds, people who wanted something from him, useless people...

"Tsukishima!"

You...

He ignored the irritating sound of your voice and walked ahead as if no one tried to catch up with him. People watched the tall teen as he passed them by, the sight of you chasing him wasn't that unusual.

"Today is the day! And you need to be there for Yamaguchi!" you exclaimed, hoping that a little bit of humanity would wake up inside him. But of course, it was impossible.

"He has you, and that's already too much." it didn't even anger you, that much at least, as that kind of remark was quite expected.

Ignoring his words you ran a few steps ahead to stand before him, with your arms spread on both sides in hope that he would finally listen to you. He clicked his tongue in a gesture of irritation but nonetheless stopped in his tracks.

"Listen, I don't care about it, nor about your club activities." he glared at you and it made a frown appear on your face. There was some truth in his words but still, Yamaguchi was his friend and that was the most important reason why you were doing that.

"It's not about my club but about our friend!" okay, it was about your club too, but he didn't need to know that.

The club you were a member of specialized in finding a fine partner for every lonely soul that came looking for help. Every member was a matchmaker- and there weren't many of them, as well as there weren't many lonely souls looking for help. At least not many came to ask for an aid. They had to be assisted silently.

You couldn't quite remember how you became a member nor if it was an actual club but in the end you decided to join the cause to help others find their happiness. And you had to add, you were quite good at it.

Tsukishima, on the other hand, found it ridiculous and didn't believe nor wanted to hear anything you said in that topic, even in the slightest. You didn't understand why! Maybe there was something about points for every successful 'mission' and being the best matchmaker too, but still his distrust in your pure intentions hurt you.

You shot him the cutest and the most innocent smile you could manage, but the growing annoyance that was visible on his face told you that your last weapon failed.

"Oh, fine! I won't ask you again!" you turned around and with a head raised high you stormed away from the tall teen.

And he couldn't even describe the happiness that appeared inside him with your retreat. But he wasn't left alone for long, as suddenly Yamaguchi in person appeared by Tsukishima's side, reminding him that the class would start soon.

Time was flowing by in a painfully slow motion. Soft whispers mixed with sounds of scribbling on paper and a monotonous voice of the teacher who tried to interest young people into his subject. And it wasn't easy but who said he couldn't try?

The warm rays of the sun fell from the wide windows brightening the room and making the atmosphere even sleepier. Out of boringness or maybe even a small hint of curiosity, he looked to his left where a certain (h/c) haired person sat in their seat, writing something down on the many pieces of paper that sat on the top of the desk.

Probably it was yet another plan of 'action' if he could even name it like that. Sometimes, or rather almost never, he wondered why you didn't become some sort of a low-class romance writer, with your rather silly romantic scenarios. Cheesy and unreal, was how he would describe those plotlines. Not that he listened to you whenever you were telling him about your brilliant ideas.

School's rooftop? Nah, too easy. Maybe behind the building? No, too big chance that someone else would confess their undying love there. Classroom?

A sigh left your lips. It would be bad if a teacher found them and also you wouldn't have many hiding places to keep an eye on the situation and still be unnoticed. Your head was starting to ache again. Too many ideas and thoughts were appearing, but none was a perfect one.

So maybe somewhere else? Like a park near Karasuno? There was a possibility that the girl wouldn't agree to go outside the school to meet with Yamaguchi but it was always worth a try. Perhaps you could talk with her later to give her a small hint of your, or maybe you should say his plans.

You had a place and what was left to do, was to write every possible scenario for their meeting. With yet another sigh leaving your lips, you looked at the fast-moving arrows of the clock. There wasn't much time left and there was still much to do. After a few moments of staring at the ticking object, you averted your gaze to stare at the tall, blonde haired teen instead.

And maybe it was only your vivid imagination, but you could swear that he was looking at you just seconds before. No, it was definitely your imagination. Still, a cat- like smile appeared on your face as you shot him a flirtatious look. And this is what he must have seen as in return you received a glare that almost froze the blood in your veins. It only meant that you were closer to the winning... something.

"I-I can't say something like this!" Yamaguchi stuttered while blushing like madness as he read the lines you wrote for him. You asked him to be blunt, say embarrassing things straight to his sweetheart's face- compliment her looks, her curves, personality and even kiss her! It would show her that he knew what he wanted, you said. He ignored the cheesy pick- up lines that you wanted him to say, that was too much.

Warm breeze hit you in the face as the wind picked up. It was a beautiful day, with a hot sun shining on a nice blue sky that was covered with fluffy white clouds in a few places. It seemed like a good day for a romance.

"It's our best chance!" you exclaimed, dramatically raising your hands in the air. "Tell him, Tsukishima!" you hit the said male in the arm, making him move away a bit to keep the food in his hands safe.

"Keep me out of this." he said in a calm tone of voice but you knew there was a hint of warning there too. Why did you have to come to where he was and talk about the matchmaking there too? He told you already not to mix him in your club business.

"Even you wouldn't say things like that." the black haired boy sitting next to you commented. Your eyes widen as a rather silly expression appeared on your face. There was no way...

There was no way you would say that, Tsukishima thought. You expected people to say and do many strange things, which strangely had a positive effect most of the time, but in the end you would never try them yourself. Too embarrassing, you explained, but they didn't need to know it- was added after a few seconds.

"Of course I would!" a lie, small and easy. "Trust me, nothing can go wrong if you memorize every little detail of the scenarios I brought you!" he only nodded his head and started studying the text again.

For the next few moments you sat in silence, enjoying the warm weather and Tsukishima's food, the second one didn't come in an easy way, before the soft tune of the bell ringing reached your ears. Students started to return inside the school's building and somewhere in the crowd you noticed the lucky girl that in a few hours would become Yamaguchi's girlfriend.

After you said some encouraging words to the nervous boy and promised to meet him later, you jogged to the group of girls and started some silly conversation. Discreetly, you looked over your shoulder at Yamaguchi one last time and it was when you started to doubt that it would turn out well.

"What is he doing?!" a whisper left your lips as you tried to find a better position on the ground. You looked for Yamaguchi for a half an hour before you found him behind the school. You could even forgive him the change of place, but a change of the line he was supposed to say was too much!

He continued the small talk and you couldn't stop to wonder why. The surroundings told her already why they were there, no one came to that place for something else than confessing! You gripped the edge of your uniform tighter. How dare him to ruin your plan and confess in such a... plain and average way! And why he looked so uncertain? Slowly you grew more and more irritated. He was ruining your perfection!

Tsukishima, on the other hand, didn't know what he was doing there. He wanted to stay away from that madness, but the captain asked him to look for Yamaguchi and bring him to the practice and he agreed, not that he had a choice, even though he knew where the missing player was. Kei personally told him to ignore your plan and do it in a way that was the best for Yamaguchi.

And perhaps that was a reason why he was there, to see your reaction and feel the pure satisfaction of making you boil with anger.

You watched as Yamaguchi took the girl's hand in his while blushing madly. He looked her straight in the eyes but still didn't say anything. Well, you knew he was shy and that was very bold of him but still... He needed to be tough, manly! Girls loved men who knew what they wanted, how many times he needed to be told that?

That was it.

It was the time to intervene. Swiftly, you stood up ready to save the boy from the utter failure when suddenly a hand covered your lips and the other appeared on your arm, yanking you back to the ground. The bushes rustled with the movement, drawing the attention of the two lovebirds.

The girl wanted to check what that was, but Yamaguchi stopped her, saying that it was just a bird. Sadly, it wasn't a small animal with feathers, it was Tsukishima who seemed to disagree with your newest plan, or maybe that frown meant something else?

After you pushed his hand away from your face, you whispered his name, expecting some explanation. He ignored it.

"What are you doing there? No, wait. Don't answer that, it doesn't matter. Just let me do my job!" but his grip on your arm only tighten.

"Let him do it." he said after a moment of watching the couple before you. You looked at them too, and then at Kei, and then at them again. You started to understand. Tsukishima was a mastermind of the plan that ruined your plan. You couldn't believe this! You opened your lips to yell at him, but then you heard Yamaguchi's voice.

"I-I..." he started and then he bowed before the girl while still holding her hand "I liked you for a very long time. Please go out with me!"

Silence.

You covered your face with your hands. Why? Why no one ever listen to you? It was a disaster! You knew it would end like that! And the soft whimper that was heard further notified you that in fact you were right. Tears fell from girl's eyes and she didn't even move to brush them away.

Great, you thought, </i>he managed to make her cry!</i>

"Enough of this. Maybe there is still a chance to fix everything." you whispered, but Tsukishima didn't give you a chance to move. What was he waiting for? You shot him a glare, ready to start an argument but then you heard something you never expected to hear.

"Yes. I want to be your girlfriend!"

Your jaw dropped as you looked at them with disbelief. It was impossible!

Yamaguchi straightened up, a wide smile gracing his features. The girl threw herself on him and he caught her in a sweet embrace. And you could only watch the scene, wondering if you weren't in some sort of a bad romance movie. Things like that never happened in real life!

And even when they were long gone you just sat there, with a ridiculous expression on your face.

"This was your idea, I take it..." if eyes could kill... It was good that Tsukishima was resistant to your death glare or maybe was it a look of disappointment? Or both. He didn't answer you, but you knew that you were right.

"Well," you started as you rose to your feet, the anger slowly leaving your body. "At least it turned out well." a sigh left your lips as you dusted off your uniform. "And I had so many pick- up lines prepared for him."

"There is no person who would fall for something ridiculous like this." he adjusted the glasses on his nose. Oh, it seemed like a challenge. A smirk appeared on your face as you crossed your arms and faced the taller teen.

"Hey, Tsukishima," he reluctantly looked at you, with one of his eyebrows raised. "Can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll give it back."

With a proud expression on your face you waited for a sassy remark coming from his lips, but instead they captured yours in a sudden kiss that left you speechless, with your chest tightening, body warming and mind blanking.

You didn't even register when he took a step back to look at the silly, and kind of cute, not that he would ever think it was cute, expression on your face. Just like a deer caught in the headlights.

Casually, he turned around and started walking back towards the gym with a smirk gracing his lips. It was definitely worth it.

"Damn you! Come back here, Kei!" and the smile soon disappeared as he heard your steps on the dry ground. He slowed down just a little bit so you could catch up with him, with a waterfall of complaints leaving your lips. He already missed those few seconds of silence. But still, even though he had a special dislike for you, he never let go of the hand that held his tightly.

Because there was only one person he hated from the bottom of his heart, namely you, his lover.

There's a thin line between love and hate.

For Nodakime as she won my Summer Contest. Congratulations once again! If you haven't heard about her yet, go check out her profile, because she is a  very good writer. (And she holds a contest by herself now, so... second reason to go and stalk her).

Anyway, it was supposed to be humorous but I feel like my sense of humour died somewhere at the beginning... Still, I hope I didn't fail, that much, and it's still enjoyable.

And adding something from me, it is highly inspired by the 'club' (it wasn't really a club) that I was a member of in middle school... Good times.

So yeah, have fun!
