Reckless || Kagami Taiga

Kagami sighed and adjusted his long black scarf that he wore around his neck. He just finished his training at the gym and was walking down the road to his house. It was enormously cold outside even if there wasn’t any snow. When he was passing-by the park from the corner of his eyes he saw a person that looked very familiar. ‘No, it couldn’t be her. She isn’t that reckless’ he thought. Suddenly he stopped in his track and quickly turned around.

Quickly, he ran to where that person was standing, hoping that it wouldn’t be her. But sadly for him his hopes weren’t listened.

Before him stood very angry, (e/c) eyed female that looked like if she could murder someone. Even if she was much shorter than him, he was too afraid to take any step closer to her. After thinking if he should just go home like if he didn’t saw her or if he should approach her and find out why she was there. Eventually he decided to take a risk and make her notice his presence. Kagami walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder.

“What are you doing here, alone, at this hour?” he asked sighing.

You turned your head slightly only to see his face and frowned.

“Waiting” you replied quickly.

Your short statement surprised him. Kagami looked at you with a puzzled face. You glared at him and then turned your head away.

“For what?”

“Something important”

And then he was mentally slapping himself for not taking the first option and hadn’t left you alone. You and Taiga were, well, let’s say friends. Friends that always argue over smallest things but never let other people hurt the other person. You had your own way of dealing with things and Kagami never understood why you always do everything in the craziest ways that’s even possible. You didn’t dislike each other, to tell the truth you liked to spent time together- even if you end up arguing.

“Can’t you just tell me what’s going on?” he tried once again promising himself that he would go home soon.

“Can’t you use your brain for once in a while?” you smirked playfully at him. He already knew what you were trying to do but he didn’t let you anger him. He just ruffled your hair and smiled.

“I’m using it, but you’re too much for my mind to take it” you giggled lightly at his words and pointed at the sky.

“I’m waiting for it to give me a snow!” you nodded your head few times and smiled proudly.

“And you really think that standing here will make it happen?” he looked at wondering if you were mentally stable. Then he notice what you were wearing.  You were still in the school uniform, with unbuttoned jacket and without any scarf. ‘Yep, reckless as always’ he thought and shook his head slightly. Slowly Kagami took off his scarf and wrapped it around your neck.

You watched his moves like a curious little puppy. He thought that you were just a weird and adorable little thing. After he finished wrapping it up he sat on the nearly bench and patted spot next to him asking you to join him. You put your hands on the black scarf. It smelled like Kagami. You blushed slightly and sat next to him.

“Thank you” you said softly.

“Don’t thank me but wear something warmer next time”

You smiled and nodded your head.

“But you know, you don’t have to sit here with me”

He wondered about it for a while and then to his mind came a thought that if it wasn’t him sitting there with you then another poor guy would have to do that. And he really didn’t want to make anyone suffer as much as him. Well, he was kind of worried too, that this “poor guy” could be a pervert or something and he really didn’t want to leave you there on your own.

“You know Kagami…” you started and he looked at you raising a brow “I think that you’re even kind of likeable”

“And you’re telling me this now because…”

“Well, I thought that it’s just a perfect opportunity to say that” you leaned your head on his shoulder. He stayed silent didn’t minding that little show of affection “But that frown of yours…” you close your eyes snuggling to him more. ‘Oh no, there she goes again” Kagami thought and looked away.

“It ruins your face. No wonder that you can’t find a girlfriend”

He looked at you didn’t knowing if you were serious or that maybe the cold made you stop thinking. But then an evil idea came to his mind.

“Well, theoretically I have one” he chuckled slightly.

“He?!”

“But she is too silly to see it” with that he put his arm around your shoulders and pulled you closer to his body. You didn’t take notice of that because you were too busy thinking of who could snatch your Taiga before you could notice it.

Kagami only looked at you and smiled. Yes, he loved your silly way of living.
